Nomination form deadline is July 10.
The Staples Motley Area Community Foundation (SMACF) seeks to honor those who have contributed to the Motley and Staples communities with the opening of nominations for its Community Awards.
“We have so many deserving women and men as well as organizations in the Motley and Staples area,” said Mary Jo Hofer, co-chair of the SMACF awards committee. “We really want to recognize and honor them for their contributions.”
Both Hofer and co-chair Curt McIlravy emphasized that people can submit a nomination a second or third time if that nominee was not chosen the first year he or she was nominated.
“Because we have so many women and men who merit these awards, we cannot recognize them all in one year,” Hofer said.  “We encourage you to submit the nomination again.”
“The more information you can give us, the better,” added McIlravy. “It is very helpful to the selection committee if you can give specific details and examples of why you feel your nominee is worthy of the award.”   Read on for more details.
